Answers to Comprehension (By special request from MX who wants me to leave a line... here is the re-post!) Please check your answers with the following: 71. She had one sibling / brother. 72. Matilda was (very) smart / intelligent. 73. Her speech was perfect and she knew as many words as most grown-ups. 74. She studied the newspapers and magazines that lay around the house. 75. No. The sentence is "The only book in the whole of this enlightened household was something called Easy Cooking belonging to her mother." 76. He felt it was not necessary for Matilda to have a book since they had a lovely television. 77. Matilda was so tiny, yet she was unaccompanied by any parent. 78. The word is 'hankering'. 79. She could find a book (with lots of pictures) on her own. OR She did not want a book with lots of pictures. 80. It refers to the short walk to the library which took ten minutes.
